It always seems impossible until it's done.
Who am I?
I'm Marlee a Software Engineering student in my final year at McMaster University. Throughout my studies, I have participated in many student organizations and events. From the VP of Web Development for the
Software Engineering club to a Co-op Ambassador teaching students about excellence in co-op experiences.
Outside of class, I have had the opportunity to demonstrate my skills in the workforce. I have completed three co-ops. One as an Operations Assistant in app development for Deep foundations contractors. The second as a Junior Full Stack Developer at Bell Canada. Most recently as a web and mobile developer at CGI a tech consulting company.
What are my skills?
As an avid programmer, I have been writing code since I was 15 years old. Having worked in multiple teams using the agile methodology, has given me the chance to develop strong communication and technical skills.
Through my Deep Co-op position, I have worked in both database creation and data analytics which has provided me a strong understanding of data architecture.
I’ve used GitHub both professionally and personally which has given me a strong knowledge of branching and merging a version control.
Outside of tech, I have worked in the service industry which provided me with the unique experience to cultivate my soft skills. These include effective communication, public speaking, organization, and punctuality.
